aggiustare il login-screen dopo aver cancellato un utente, che continua ad apparire nella lista dei login

descrizione: ho usato uno stick minibz per installare ho aggiungto un utente fussuser (amministratore) ho cancellato l'utente user (cancella i dati) al reboot rimane il login per user - ovviamente non funziona domanda: come si aggiusta la schermata di login ? toni

Dear FUSS Community, a few updates about FUSS: - Starting from fuss-server v. 12.0.27 released today, you can find the tool /usr/share/fuss-server/scripts/forget_clients. It needs as parameter a file containing the list of client hostnames you want to be forgotten by Kerberos before re-installing them when you are re-installing cliente e.g. when upgrading to FUSS 12. It also removes the hostname from /etc/clusters in order to keep the file clean. - The latest FUSS 12 ISO images (base and education) were published today. The installation of standalone PCs can now be done off-line. You can find them here as usual: https://iso.fuss.bz.it/fuss12/client/ - IIYAMA interactive monitors (model *ProLite TE8612MIS* and possibly others) when connected to PCs via USB, show an additional network device which can cause connectivity problems of the client towards the server. Latest FUSS 12 ISO installation via Calamares can be done offline

We tested the latest FUSS 12 ISO image without internet connection (both legacy and UEFI installations) and now the process ends without the need of an internet connection. New FUSS iso images

Dear all, the FUSS iso images are now two as before. We used to call them "full" and "lite". Some people asked us to generate the "lite" version again which is without educational packages. We fulfilled this desiderata and decided to refresh the names also. New FUSS 12 ISO image (20240324)

Dear FUSS Community, with much pleasure we announce the release of the latest ISO image of FUSS 12 based on Debian 12.5. As usual you can find it here: https://iso.fuss.bz.it/fuss12/client/ We updated the kernel (6.1.76-1) and all packages. New packages were added by the latest upgrade of fuss-software metapackages: - minder - openjdk-17-jdk - musescore4 - balena-etcher - keepassxc - onboard Please don't hesitate to report bugs or suggest new packages that you'd like to see in the FUSS distribution. Latest updates in FUSS

Dear FUSS Community, hereinafter you will find the latest modifications to the current release (FUSS 12) and the previous 2 releases (FUSS 10 and 11) which are going to lose our support during the current school year (the sooner - the better!). We lately added these packages to the appropriate fuss-* metapackages: - ardour: digital audio workstation and multichannel hard disk recorder - balena-etcher: powerful OS image flasher - crypromator: software for client-side encryption of folders and files. - keepassxc: password manager - minder: a good mindmapping tool (FUSS 11 and 12 only) - mkvtoolnix: command line tools to work with Matroska multimedia format - musescore4 (FUSS 12 only): multiplatform and multilingual software for musical notation - onboard: on screen keyboard which can be also used on the login interface (lightdm). - openjdk-17-jdk (and related packages): Java Development Kit v. 17 (FUSS 11 and 12 only) - thunderbird and some localization packages (de, it, en, es, fr): very well known e-mail, calendar and contact client. - tldr: command line tool to view the tldr pages which are a community effort to simplify the beloved man pages with practical examples. Furthermore, we found out why the keyboard layout couldn't be changed on the upper right part of the login screen. It was a bug in the package slick-greeter 1.6.1-1 still present in Debian 12. We tested version 2.0.1-1 from Debian 13 "trixie" since the bug was corrected there. It worked fine and we uploaded the updated slick-greeter package in archive.fuss.bz.it. The missing on-screen-keyboard and the malfunctioning keyboard selection feature on the login interface were pointed out by Diego Maniacco a few days ago. Thanks Diego for pointing out these bugs and Claudio for finding the solution. This is how the FUSS community works together. In order to update your FUSS installation, simply run as root apt update apt dist-upgrade fuss-client --standalone --domain fuss.bz.it We are working to automate the launch of the last command whenever the package fuss-client is updated. L’installazione di FUSS 12 crea un buon supporto per le scuole primarie e secondarie di primo e secondo grado. Si trovano tutti i software office (libreoffice) e i più importanti software didattici relativi a singole materie o più in generale, mappe concettuali e mentali. Comunque vorrei condividere alcuni suggerimenti per proporre uno schema di post installazione per fuss12 aperto a tutti gli utenti, non solo a quelli delle scuole. Ditemi cosa ne pensate. Partizionamento disco Partizionare i dischi con gpt e non più mbr, ormai tutti i pc su cui si opera hanno le minime condizioni per supportare un partizionamento gpt. Utente guest Utente guest da disabilitare per evitare confusioni che nella mia esperienza di schoolswap ho visto utilizzare spesso come utente principale con tutti i problemi del caso (es: dati persi). Nelle scuole il problema non si verifica perché si entra nel sistema solo con il proprio account e istruzioni del docente. Per questo durante schoolswap ogni volta che veniva consegnato un computer si faceva una brevissima introduzione su questi temi, anche se poi, nel passaggio da fuss10 a fuss11 lo avevamo già disabilitato. Tools Si dovrebbero installare alcuni tools per avere una maggiore disponibilità di opzioni per supportare schede di rete, bluetooth, controlli vari o per supporto da remoto. Allego un file minimale di post-installazione per fuss 12, per maggiori info rinvio a quello già scritto da Diego o al sito https://nc.lugbz.org/login (https://nc.lugbz.org/login) Video conferenze e social Zoom , Teams, Skype, Telegram, Signal o quant’ altro dovrebbero essere usati attraverso le loro funzionalità web senza ulteriori installazioni o comunque dovrebbe decidere l’utente se caricarli. Cambio lingua (manuale) Come esempio, passaggio da IT a DE: dpkg-reconfigure locales # first screen : de_DE.UTF-8 it_IT.UTF-8 en_US.UTF-8 fr_FR.UTF-8 ………... # second screen: chose the language de_DE.UTF-8 # keyboard change it-->de sed -i "s/XKBLAYOUT="it"/XKBLAYOUT="de"/g" /etc/default/keyboard # completion of language translation at grub start-up export LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 export LC_MESSAGES=de_DE.UTF-8 update-grub reboot # if home folders contain files, they are translated but the old folder in the original language remains.
