Brief message to inform you that the Clonezilla images of FUSS 12 have been updated at https://iso.fuss.bz.it/fuss12/client/ * fuss-12.13-amd64-client-gpt-img.tar * fuss-12.13-amd64-client-img.tar We recommend replacing the previous ones on the FUSS Servers in /srv/clonezilla in order to speed-up the installation of clients or standalone machines. Up-to-date ISO images are also available: * fuss-12.13-amd64-education.iso * fuss-12.13-amd64-live-base.iso We have removed the release date from the names, using instead the version and minor version of Debian (12.x) on which the images are based. fuss-server 12.0.59

Dear FUSS Community, We have released a new version of fuss-server (12.0.59) that adds these two main changes: 1. The server-side logging level has been increased (/var/log/auth.log) so that it is now clear which users have logged in and on which client. It also indicates when users log out of their sessions. 2. To allow schools (mainly high schools) to let students practice the basics of HTML and JavaScript directly in their home directories, it is possible to enable server-side access to the personal folder ~/public_html, accessible at: http://proxy/~username. This way, each student can practice creating their own homepage, which can also be viewed by teachers and peers. As always, the update procedure is as follows: apt update apt install fuss-server fuss-server upgrade If you want to enable the public_html folders, the procedure is as follows: - Add the following line to /etc/fuss-server/fuss-server-defaults.yaml: enable_personal_html: yes - Run: fuss-server upgrade - Execute the following command to create the public_html folders: - For a single user: /usr/share/fuss-server/scripts/create-public-html -u USERNAME - For a group of users: /usr/share/fuss-server/scripts/create-public-html -g GROUP - From this point on, the public_html folder for USERNAME will be accessible from the URL: http://proxy/~USERNAME Best greetings, The FUSS Project.

aggiustare il login-screen dopo aver cancellato un utente, che continua ad apparire nella lista dei login

descrizione: ho usato uno stick minibz per installare ho aggiungto un utente fussuser (amministratore) ho cancellato l'utente user (cancella i dati) al reboot rimane il login per user - ovviamente non funziona domanda: come si aggiusta la schermata di login ? toni

Dear FUSS Community, a few updates about FUSS: - Starting from fuss-server v. 12.0.27 released today, you can find the tool /usr/share/fuss-server/scripts/forget_clients. It needs as parameter a file containing the list of client hostnames you want to be forgotten by Kerberos before re-installing them when you are re-installing cliente e.g. when upgrading to FUSS 12. It also removes the hostname from /etc/clusters in order to keep the file clean. - The latest FUSS 12 ISO images (base and education) were published today. The installation of standalone PCs can now be done off-line. You can find them here as usual: https://iso.fuss.bz.it/fuss12/client/ - IIYAMA interactive monitors (model *ProLite TE8612MIS* and possibly others) when connected to PCs via USB, show an additional network device which can cause connectivity problems of the client towards the server. New FUSS iso images

Dear all, the FUSS iso images are now two as before. We used to call them "full" and "lite". Some people asked us to generate the "lite" version again which is without educational packages. We fulfilled this desiderata and decided to refresh the names also.
