L’installazione di FUSS 12 crea un buon supporto per le scuole primarie e secondarie di primo e secondo grado. Si trovano tutti i software office (libreoffice) e i più importanti software didattici relativi a singole materie o più in generale, mappe concettuali e mentali. Comunque vorrei condividere alcuni suggerimenti per proporre uno schema di post installazione per fuss12 aperto a tutti gli utenti, non solo a quelli delle scuole. Ditemi cosa ne pensate. Partizionamento disco Partizionare i dischi con gpt e non più mbr, ormai tutti i pc su cui si opera hanno le minime condizioni per supportare un partizionamento gpt. Utente guest Utente guest da disabilitare per evitare confusioni che nella mia esperienza di schoolswap ho visto utilizzare spesso come utente principale con tutti i problemi del caso (es: dati persi). Nelle scuole il problema non si verifica perché si entra nel sistema solo con il proprio account e istruzioni del docente. Per questo durante schoolswap ogni volta che veniva consegnato un computer si faceva una brevissima introduzione su questi temi, anche se poi, nel passaggio da fuss10 a fuss11 lo avevamo già disabilitato. Tools Si dovrebbero installare alcuni tools per avere una maggiore disponibilità di opzioni per supportare schede di rete, bluetooth, controlli vari o per supporto da remoto. Allego un file minimale di post-installazione per fuss 12, per maggiori info rinvio a quello già scritto da Diego o al sito https://nc.lugbz.org/login (https://nc.lugbz.org/login) Video conferenze e social Zoom , Teams, Skype, Telegram, Signal o quant’ altro dovrebbero essere usati attraverso le loro funzionalità web senza ulteriori installazioni o comunque dovrebbe decidere l’utente se caricarli. Cambio lingua (manuale) Come esempio, passaggio da IT a DE: dpkg-reconfigure locales # first screen : de_DE.UTF-8 it_IT.UTF-8 en_US.UTF-8 fr_FR.UTF-8 ………... # second screen: chose the language de_DE.UTF-8 # keyboard change it-->de sed -i "s/XKBLAYOUT="it"/XKBLAYOUT="de"/g" /etc/default/keyboard # completion of language translation at grub start-up export LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 export LC_MESSAGES=de_DE.UTF-8 update-grub reboot # if home folders contain files, they are translated but the old folder in the original language remains. FUSS 11 Lite + Mailing List

Ciao, entro nella mailing list da suggerimento di Anton nella ML LugBZ! Due cosette, dato che sono nuovo al mondo FUSS - Fuss 12 verrà rilasciato anche in versione Lite? La pagina web ancora ne parla ma non trovo il file. Potrebbe forse essere ancora nteressante per usi desktop non scolastici (es normali usi casalinghi) Magari con un meta-pacchetto per la parte edu che eventualmente l'utente possa scegliere se installare? - Non riesco a postare in questa ML usando il normale client di posta in quanto mi torna sempre indietro con "mail del mittente non iscritta alla mailing list" eppure la mail nel header è la stessa impostata nel profilo di hyperkitty. Grazie a tutti per il vs lavoro e buona giornata! PS: è preferibile scrivere in inglese? come siete abituati?

New FUSS 12 ISO and Clonezilla images

Dear FUSS Community, with much pleasure we announce the release of the latest ISO and Clonezilla images of FUSS 12 based on Debian 12.2. As usual you can find them here: https://iso.fuss.bz.it/fuss12/client/ We updated the kernel (6.1.55-1) and all packages. New packages were added to fuss-software metapackages, not only to FUSS 12 but also to the two previous releases (10 and 11): - ardour - mkvtoolnix - thunderbird + l10n packages for en, de, it, fr and es - cryptomator - tldr For Cryptomator, we prepared a tutorial which is available in the FUSS User Guide: https://fuss-user-guide.readthedocs.io/it/latest/index-cryptomator.html Please don't hesitate to report bugs or suggest new packages that you'd like to see in the FUSS distribution. FUSS 12 clonezilla images updated

Dear all, on July 22nd the Debian project announced the first update of its stable distribution Debian 12 (codename bookworm ). This point release (12.1) mainly adds corrections for security issues along with a few adjustments for serious problems.
